"Working out has always been the furthest thing from my mind and you can ask everyone I know how true this is. I was already very active growing up with cheerleading and never really struggled with my weight. Then I welcomed my mid 20's where my metabolism started to slow down, not eating the high quality food, and not working out. I started to have more health problems with low iron, GI issues, fatigue, and self esteem issues affecting my mental health. I found my way to the gym but had no clue what I was doing. I also tried to add in more nutrient dense foods and make healthier choices. I still felt so lost so I found Madison and thank goodness I did. She worked with me one on one with a gym program as well as a nutrition program. She taught me so many things about counting macros and picking the right choices when it comes to my proteins, fats, and carbs. She made it so easy with my program because it literally told me what time to eat and what to eat throughout the day. I could plan out my week ahead of time and it worked so well for me. All of my workouts were typed out for me which I just printed out and put all the workouts in a binder. I threw it in my gym bag so I would never feel lost when I was there on what to do. We had weekly phone check ins where she would answer all my questions and always try to break my habit of not wanting to eat vegetables. She would find ways for me to sneak in vegetables where they would taste better and it worked! She is a wealth of knowledge and literally taught me so much information about food and fitness. I trusted the process and saw results. I felt so much better with less health issues and self esteem issues. While working with Madison I was in the process of planning for my wedding which she prepared me for looking my best on my special day. She helped me reach my goals of where I wanted to be so I would feel absolutely beautiful on my wedding day. Every bride wants to look and feel their best for their wedding and Madison helped me accomplish just that with her programs. The thing I enjoyed most about working with Ashley was the ownership she took over her health-related habits. Right off the bat, she was able to admit that she doesn’t like veggies. However, she acknowledged their importance and maintained an open mindset allowed us to work together to find creative ways to sneak more vegetables into her day. She also was very open about being a carb-lover (a trait with which many people can relate!). The beauty here was informing her that we do NOT have to CUT carbs. I explained the importance of distinguishing between types of carbs + being intentional with time of consumption in order to make carbs work for us, rather than against us. What a light bulb this was! Ashley’s accuracy and honesty in reporting her food intake really enabled us to delve into some of the finer details of her dietary habits. I loved the questions she asked on our weekly calls, always demonstrating how much thought she was putting into her meal plan and how eager she was to learn the “why” behind my dietary recommendations (I love inquisitive people 😊). Her questions brought about great discussion that helped us refine her understanding of the purpose/function of food. Such discussions certainly improved Ashley’s knowledge base, equipping her with the information necessary to maintain her healthy habits beyond our time spent working together. That’s what it’s about!

When it came to Ashley’s workouts, she was very in-tune with her body. Ashley’s reports of soreness, or lack thereof, allowed us to modify the workouts to ensure they stayed maximally beneficial. I so appreciated her attentiveness to the purpose of various exercises. Similar to her questions on the nutrition side of things, such questions about her workouts provided me the opportunity to explain the purpose behind certain movements and the structure of each workout. Again, her eagerness to learn was a breath of fresh…and certainly served here well!!

Ashley, I am so proud of the hard work you put in during our time together, but even more proud of the diligence you have demonstrated in maintaining the healthy habits we built together ever since. I was so thrilled to hear that you felt your absolute best on your wedding day. What a blessing it was for me to a part of that preparation process. <3 I am also elated to see your progress picture from after your wedding looking so incredible, as this proves that your goals were not short-sighted.
